Learn about the international sport of Orienteering during 3 Wednesday workshops in May at 3 different parks within the Cincinnati Parks system. You can come to any of the instruction sessions at 10:30 am, 11:15 am, and Noon.
Stanbery Park (May 6)
Caldwell Nature Preserve (May 13)
French Park (May 20)
You will learn the basics of the sport then have an opportunity to practice what you have learned. Each week will be at a different Cincinnati Parks park. You can come once or for all 3 weeks. For those attending 2 or 3 workshops you will learn something beyond the basics.
All ages, from infant to high schooler and their parents, are welcome to attend.
Fees if you register online:
* The fee for a family with 1 child is $10 for 1 session / $18 for 2 sessions / $24 for 3 sessions
* The fee for a family with 2+ children is $18 for 1 session / $32 for 2 sessions / $42 for 3 sessions
Fee if your register on-site on the day of the workshop:
* $15 per child per workshop.
There is a limit of 200 people for these workshops.
The workshop on May 13 will coincide with World Orienteering Day (WOD). Students from all over the world will be learning about orienteering on this day.
