A road well traveled with The Vision Board
I've spent a lot of time on the road in my life, traversing continents, traveling up river and down, collecting memories, dreams and goals along the way. It wasn't until I put together a vision board that I started seeing my dream of becoming an internationally bestselling romance author come true. Over the years I've pasted pictures and mementos from Paris (Naughty Paris) Japan (The Blonde Geisha), the Near East (Spies, Lies & Naked Thighs), late 1930s and WWII (Cleopatra's Perfume April 2009)--it's all there on my vision board. But that's not the end of my story, only the beginning... Having a vision board is like nurturing a relationship--you have to pay attention to it to make it work. Add to it, change it around, but keep it focused. Using the techniques in Joyce's book, I found I'm able to put my goals in a more direct line to get to the next step in my career instead of meandering along that road. I make changes on my Vision Board on a regular basis, rearrange pictures, add quotes, take down a flyer or note that's no longer relevant to my vision (e.g., I removed Civil War re-enactment photos I had taken when I realized I was going in a different direction with my writing; that doesn't mean I won't go back to that Civil War story someday, just not now). We all have doubts whether or not we're "doing it right." To me, the most important part of having a vision board is evoking that emotional response in you that helps you keep going even when you have doubts. It's like a favorite piece of music that lifts you up and out of your world every time you hear it. You look forward to hearing it, moving with it, humming along. A good vision board is like that. I've found Joyce's book is the best way not only to get your vision board started, but to keep it going.

That is the enormous enveloping love that you experience when the moment puts you in it's center. I asked for this feeling and got it from using Vision Boards.     This is a beautiful book, nice size, easy to travel with.

    The Vision Board by Joyce Schwarz has a lot more information and advice than I expected from a Vision Board book and I purchased more to see examples and photos of other vision boards, which this has lots of (some are amazing).

    But it goes deeper than that, people share their life stories and how the boards helped them focus on what they wanted, like a mental list. There are sections on health, romance, career, family life and wealth. I particularly liked the section on making a board with your child. It's a fun craft project that allows you to see what your child is thinking of and what is interesting to them and their dreams and visions. Priceless.

    It doesn't promise to answer all your questions about life or promise if you make a vision board of money you'll be rich, it's just a nice guidebook on how to create a vision board.

    Some examples of people who have used vision boards to be successful include Walt Disney, Jim Carrey, and Dilbert creator, Scott Adams.

    This is a very good book about vision board making. Unfortunately I got the similar book "It Works!" before Miss Joyce Schwartz's book. That book taught every "essential" know-how about Goal/Vision setting in 15-20 pages of it. No-nonsense/ direct to the core. That book simplifies everything. Left with no doubt.

    This book, on the contrary, presents unnecessary and complicated information. And from times to times presents real-life vision boards which are, in my humble opinions, wrong in every level of vision board making. (Such as writing negative phrase instead of positive one.)

    Yet it's still a very good book for vision board beginners. If you want a collection of Law of Attraction books you should have this book.
