MVA Viking Shadow Day RSVP
Viking Parents/Guardians, we'd like to cordially invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to experience the academics and classroom environments at Mar Vista Academy, check in on what your child is doing, and meet with Principal Scott and the leadership team to voice concerns or ask questions on Friday, MARCH 8TH at our third Viking Shadow Day of the year.

The event starts at 8:15am with a brief meeting in the cafeteria, then you can observe your child in their classes. At lunch, you are welcome to leave or you may stay and shadow the remaining classes after lunch. We encourage all parents to attend, please RSVP below no later than March 6th, so we can plan accordingly.

Visitation Guidelines for Parents/Guardians

By signing up to attend, you agree to abide by the following guidelines: 
  1. When observing in your child’s room, please find a seat designated by the classroom teacher. Sitting right next to your child may cause your child to lose focus on the teacher and lesson.
  2. There are times that the parent needs access to the teacher for questions. If you have questions, please contact the teacher via e-mail or a phone call to arrange a time for you and the teacher to talk. It may be more convenient to ask while doing an observation, but that takes the teacher’s focus off of the students. Students are our number one priority.
  3. No pets.
  4. Any siblings that attend must stay with the parent the entire time. 
  5. Be mindful of talking, cell phone usage or any other behavior that interrupts the lesson.
