One moment please...

Overdose Awareness Day

Overdose deaths nationally are staggering - over 100,000 lives were lost in 2021.

We are fighting a complex public health crisis, but when we provide rapid access to outreach, treatment, and recovery support services, recovery is not only possible, but probable.

Until now, the dominant societal narrative has been that the end of addiction is jails, institutions, and death.

At the WRA, we endeavor to transform that pervasive myth to reality—the end of addiction is recovery. We know that when we give people a meaningful chance, they can and do recover.

Overdose death is preventable. Recovery is possible.

Please consider donating to the Washington Recovery Alliance in honor of National Overdose Awareness Day to remember the lives we have lost, the grief of those left behind, and the lives we can and will save.
