Now that Sony has revealed PS5's full specs, we can compare both the consoles.

 In this post, I'll be comparing PS5 and Xbox Series X on the basis of their specs, special features and benefits. 

I have tried to make this post as simple as possible yet smart enough so that you'll can understand the concept.

Specifications:-

CPU

	The PS5 comes with AMD Processor based on Zen 2 Architecture, 3rd Gen AMD Rayzen processor, 8 cores with a clock speed of 3.5GHz.
The Xbox Series X comes with AMD Processor based on Zen 2 Architecture, 3 Gen AMD Rayzen processor, 8 cores with a clock speed of 3.5GHz.

According to this, CPU wise, Xbox has a advantage over PS5.

GPU

	It has 10.28 TFLops, 36 compute units running at 2.23 GHz.
. It has 12.16 TFLops, 52 compute units running at 1.825 GHz.

So, again Xbox Series X is slightly more powerful than PS5.

Memory

	The next Play Station will have 16GB DDR6 RAM, 256-bit memory interface with a speed of 448GB/s
Series X will have 16GB DDR6 RAM, 320-bit memory interface. But Microsoft has split that into 2 Chunks. 1st one has 10GB with a speed of 560GB/s and the 2nd one has 6GB with a speed of 336GB/s.

Well, if we take the average of both chunks of Xbox that is 560GB/s and 336GB/s, we will get 448GB/s which is the speed of PS5!. So, they both won't make much difference

Storage

	The PS5 comes with 5.5GB/s SSD. It is 110 times faster than the PS4 Pro! It can have 800GB to 1TB Drive. PS5 supports any drive that you buy with at least 5.5GB speed It has 2.4GB/s SSD
That is 50 times faster than Xbox One. It has 1TB Drive. External hardware is supported for previous generation games.

So, storage wise PS5 exceeds Xbox Series X.

Special features:-

### Ray Tracing-

Both the consoles will support Ray Tracing.

### Resolution-

Both of them support 8K resolution for dynamic as well as 4K for Native.

### Frames Per Second (FPS)-

Both will support 120Hz output. Means games will run at 120fps max.

## Conclusion- 

Xbox Series X is better in CPU, GPU and memory.

Whereas PS5 has double advantage over Xbox Series X in storage. Also it'll have many exclusive games. There will also be physical buttons over the back of controller to make you feel the game.

So, if you wanna play more cross platform games like the ones coming from PC and previous Xbox, then Xbox Series X is a must. Also you get a bit better performance on Xbox Series X.

But if you want to enjoy exclusive games and want a high level experience of dynamics, then you may get a PS5.
