Mayor Mohamed T. Khairullah, the Municipal Council, Prospect Park Office of Emergency Management (OEM), Prospect Park Police Department, Prospect Park Volunteer Fire Department, and Fire Prevention Bureau of the Borough of Prospect Park is pleased to announce that in partnership with American Red Cross, Prospect Park School District, and the Teachers Association of Prospect Park (TAPP), we have received donations for smoke alarms/detectors to be distributed to residents in Prospect Park ONLY. Each smoke detector/alarm distributed will have a 10-year life battery. Be advised, the municipality is NOT responsible for installation of these smoke detectors. It is first come, first serve as inventory for distribution is LIMITED.
Each family / household will receive up to one (1) smoke alarm/detector. Distributions of the smoke detectors will take place via delivery by our OEM team or pick-up at Police Headquarters.

If you selected the delivery option, a member of our OEM team or municipal staff will contact you to arrange the delivery time. Pickup option will be available Monday through Friday starting Thursday, February 3rd between the hours of 9AM - 4PM located at the Prospect Park Police Department Headquarters (located at side entrance of Borough Hall). At the time of receipt of the fire alarm, you must sign a form acknowledging receipt of the smoke detectors as per American Red Cross regulations.
